Coming Soon To This Theatre

A few changes are underway. After ‘Dark Light’ got put on hold I admit it really got to me. It’s not easy to see a project you spent a year of your life on not progress and then make the decision to shut down production and regroup. In the time that I have been looking into options I decided to try a slightly different route with it. I am running through the possibility of it to see if it is indeed how I want to proceed with it. I can’t say what I am thinking just yet but I will announce it whichever way I decide to take the future of ‘Dark Light’. All I can say is the project is far from over. A few other projects are in the early works too. It is no secret I have been dying to do another horror film. And I have […]

I Am Talkin’ To You

For the third time in a year I had the awesome pleasure of seeing one of my all time favorite films on the big screen, Martin Scorsese’s ‘Taxi Driver’. I have seen the film many times but for its 20th anniversary I got the chance to see it on the big screen for the first time. That was also the first time I ever went to The Music Box Theatre which is my favorite theatre. That was back in 1996. In 2010 the Gene Siskel Theatre had a special showing of it. This showing happen to be on August 17, my birthday. What better way to spend my birthday? It was an old print full of scratches and tears and it was faded but it was amazing. This past weekend, at my favorite theatre The Music Box,¬† I got to meet two very cool people. The first was Harry Shearer who was showing his new documentary on Katrina ‘The Big Uneasy‘. He did a Q&A and also did an intro to ‘This Is Spinal Tap’. I must confess I had never seen it before. I know. Shame on me. But what better way to see a film for the first time than on the big screen? So I feel it is ok. Harry Shearer doing his Q&A for his film ‘The Big Uneasy’. The following night I got to meet the one and only John Waters. He is part of a new book “The Film That Changed My Life” which interviews 30 different directors and what film was the one that changed their life. For John Waters it was ‘The Wizard Of Oz’ so they showed that […]
