Today is Alfred Hitchcock’s birthday. One of my favorite directors I want to celebrate and wish him, his memory, and his films a very Happy Birthday! Here’s an interview with him from 1972.

Rear Window On The Big Screen

Happy New Year everyone! I’m sorry for the lack of posts lately but things have been busy. I’ll have a blog post about some of the projects coming up in 2012 but I want to share something I did towards the end of 2011 that I have wanted for a very long time. My favorite Alfred Hitchcock film is ‘Rear Window‘ and despite the fact that I have watched it numerous times over the years (including owning a digital copy that I recently watched on my iPad on a plane trip to California) I have never actually seen it on the big screen. Day Eighteen – What is your favorite horror movie filmed in black and white? PSYCHO (1960) d: Alfred Hitchcock My admiration for Alfred Hitchcock is about as high as you can go. So while there are so many incredible black and white horror films I had to go with the one that turned my opinion on “old” horror films when I was a kid. Much like a lot of kids there was this feeling that a non-color film was subpar on some level. While I did enjoy black and white films I never thought that a horror film could be scary if it wasn’t in color. I think I was like 8 so you need to cut me a little slack.
