I love my iPhone and I love me some applications. Here is one video app that has some very cool features. It lets you shoot at different frame rates. Not slow motion though but you can do fast motion. However my interest was that it can shoot 24p. Granted, I’m sure it’s just a 3:2 pulldown but it looks great. Especially considering it’s on my iPhone. Plus you can lock in the exposure and white balance so it’s not constantly changing. And it has letterboxing so you can shoot in normal 16:9 or 1.85:1 or even (yeah!) 2.35:1. Very cool. And naturally my video below showcases almost none of these cool features. Testing GH2

Recently I purchased a new still camera. I weighed different options but I am partial to Panasonic. We all have our brands. So I looked into and really liked what I read about their still cameras. I have been using their prosumer video cameras for years starting with the DVX100, then the HVX200, and now the HPX170. I am upgrading from a Sony still camera which was a good camera but it was time to upgrade. So after much research I decided on the Panasonic GH2. While still learning all of the in’s and out’s of the camera you can expect many different posts examining different parts coming in the near future. Both photography and video (it shoots HD). Zacuto Great Camera Shootout Episode One

My old boss Steve Weiss of Zacuto is making a massive camera shootout video covering all different kinds of cameras to test them out under different conditions. Part one has just been released.
