It’s time for the Oscars. I watch the show every year whether I’m rooting for something or not. Despite my dismay with The Lego Movie not being nominated in the Best Animated Feature Film category (for shame!) I’ll be looking forward to seeing what wins tonight. A mini update on other things. I have two new Vague Ramblings which I’ll be recording soon and will be up later this week. I also have started the preparations on the screenplay for the new film. It’s definitely shaping into something special and something I am really excited to make. Many more things coming!
Happy New Year everyone! I hope 2015 is a great year for all of you. A lot of things in the works so hopefully it’ll be a productive time full of a lot of new films, projects, and good times.
I was tagged on Facebook to do a list of movies that have stayed with you. I thought it was a good idea for a blog post. Plus this enables me to ramble on a little. While the original list calls for 15 movies I decided to take it down to 10 and I tweaked it slightly since the films you could pick for the list could be anything and ones that aren’t ones that were disturbing. However, I went ahead and tried to limit it to only doing ones that did disturb me and stayed with me a lot longer than I may have wanted them to. Though it also led me to be impressed by the films even more. I just want to wish everyone a very happy Father’s Day to all of the fathers past, present, and future. Whether they are fathers, step-fathers, or father figures. And as is tradition my Creepshow post from the segment “Father’s Day”.
I’m sure everyone on my social media outlets are sick of me talking about this but when you accomplish something it can be hard to keep quiet about it. Though it’s never official until there is a blog post on it. I have been studying Kenpo for a couple years now. I took Kickboxing (along with some Kung Fu and Kali) when I was a teenager but it never really caught on with me. While I enjoyed it the emphasis was more on competition and not so much on learning the art. I never had an interest in competing so by the time I got to college I moved on.
