I have been working in independent films for several years now learning every aspect of filmmaking. I graduated from Columbia College Chicago where I majored in film and studied every aspect of filmmaking.
My first film after finishing film school was to write, produce, edit, and direct the action thriller DROP OFF. I went on to also produce and edit several short films including the award winning Kirk Sanders’ film BROKEN ECHOES and then I made my first feature film DISTORTION. I wore all the hats on that one including directing, producing, writing, cinematography, editing, music, and even casting. I then co-directed, produced, edited, and was the cinematographer on two short films, with Stephen Bastien, the dark comedies THE INTERROGATION and THE LAST OPTION. I went on and directed, edited and was the cinematographer for NOSE HAIR & PEANUTS written and starring Mike Pusateri which premiered at the SoCal Film Festival. I followed that with directing, writing, producing, editing, and the cinematographer for the thriller NO WITNESSES before re-teamed with Mike Pusateri and we co-directed his script ELLA GETS A PROMOTION? which premiered in over 250 theatres around the world with the Manhattan Shorts Film Festival.
In addition to directing, producing, and shooting, I also write. I’ve written several full-length screenplays in a variety of different genres including the action film ANOTHER SUNRISE, the revenge thriller DARK LIGHT, and an adaptation, with Kirk Sanders, of William Shakespeare’s MACBETH.
Working as a professional digital cinematographer and editor I have done projects (most with Walking Shadows Productions) for Loyola University of Chicago, Ferris State University, North Park University, Centegra Health Systems, several not for profits, and the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. Contact me if you’re interested in hiring me for your video project.
A film and video technical geek I stay on top of the latest technologies in filmmaking and photography. I’m an avid film buff so I am always watching and studying movies of all kinds. I go to a lot of film events and conventions and have loved meeting people in the industry.
I always keep an optimistic outlook on life and am constantly searching for the next creative endeavor.
