Timelapse Test

I am starting to do timelapse photography. I am so inspired by the ones I see that I knew it was only a matter of time before I tried it. There have been several times when I wish I had done one so I figured I should just start. I got out my Sony A7 and bought the add on to do timelapse and am doing some tests. Here is one I did yesterday.

I am really excited to be trying these. It is an involved process. I shoot raw files instead of just a video file in camera. So I take the sequence of frames (I think in this case it was about 960 frames) and brought them into Lightroom to color correct them. Then I exported them as high resolution jpg files and brought that into After Effects as an image sequence. I brought that into an HD timeline and framed it then added a subtle zoom in. I exported that and brought it into Premiere where I added the music (so it wasn’t a silent test) and compressed to upload it to the web. A lot of steps but worth it for the final effect.
