Testing GH2

Recently I purchased a new still camera. I weighed different options but I am partial to Panasonic. We all have our brands. So I looked into and really liked what I read about their still cameras. I have been using their prosumer video cameras for years starting with the DVX100, then the HVX200, and now the HPX170.

I am upgrading from a Sony still camera which was a good camera but it was time to upgrade. So after much research I decided on the Panasonic GH2. While still learning all of the in’s and out’s of the camera you can expect many different posts examining different parts coming in the near future. Both photography and video (it shoots HD).

I need to get out and do some real tests in different environments but for right now here are a few inside pictures. While not the kind of pictures to show off a camera I did also use the camera to take the pictures from the two different Music Box events I posted here.

My Panasonic GH2. Picture taken with my iPhone with added filters.
My cat Dante thrilled I'm taking his picture.
Light passing through my water onto the Caps Lock. Artsy.
An Apple a day ... My iPhone, iPod, and iPad.

Except for the iPhone picture of the camera, all photos are compressed and altered versions of the original camera RAW.
