Beautiful Time

I am obsessing over this piece of music again from the film ‘Inception’. My love of film music knows no bounds and one of my favorite composers is Hans Zimmer who wrote a truly incredible and beautiful score to my favorite film from last year. This piece specifically stuck out to me. This was one of the pieces I listened to while writing the script to my new film ‘Dark Light’. If I ever get to work with Hans Zimmer one day I would consider it an incredible honor.

Philip Bloom Pocket Dolly

I am so excited to have my latest piece of gear. I am a big fan of photographer/videographer Philip Bloom (whose website you can check out ). In association with Kessler Crane he created the Philip Bloom Pocket Dolly. These are also known as sliders. They’re mini-dollies that can be standalone or you can attach it to the top of a tripod for height. The advantages to this slider are that it’s quiet and you can change the inertia of the movement. I will be doing some tests which I will post here. I am just so excited. It is one amazing piece of gear. Below is the video of Mr. Bloom showcasing it.

It’s hard to grasp the fact that I’m actually starting it. There were times where I thought it wasn’t going to happen. When you’re a one man team it is all too easy for it to fall apart. But at the same time I pushed onward to get it started. I don’t know how this film will turn out. I know what I wrote. I know what my intentions are. But I also know that what you set out to make is not what you will end up with in the end. I just want to make a film that is entertaining. I hope it is much more than that but at the end of the day […]

Warm Day

I love summer. No matter how hot it gets I always remember those cold days where I am bitter because it is too cold to do anything. The sun was shining so I got out the burgers and lit the grill. Good times. The puppy ran around, pooped, and then became pooped.
