George - BRENDEN P. HILL Brenden studied at Indiana University. His favorite roles include Ralph Wantage in 'Frozen', Charlie Fox in 'Speed the Plow', John Wisehammer / Capt. Watkin Tench in 'Our Country's Good', Carl in 'Vital Signs', and Caithness in 'Macbeth', as well as several festival performances at 'The Bloomington Playwrights Project', and film work in 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'. Brenden serves as the Artistic Director and creator of Purple Bench Productions, something he could have never accomplished without his extremely talented peers and the support of his wonderful family. In addition to his role as Artistic Director, Brenden just completed playing Elston Rupp in PBP's production of Phyllis Nagy's 'Disappeared'. Danielle - KIMBERLY HOWARD Kimberly is an up and coming actress whose career is already taking her from Chicago to the west coast. Multitalented she is an actress, a model, and a musician. 'Distortion' is her first feature film but not her last. Jay - JEFF JAMERSON Jeff Jamerson, born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, has had a passion to act ever since childhood. He realized he could never actually become a super hero so he decided that one day he might play one on screen. Jeff began his studies in theatrical arts in high school at Jones College Prep and continued at U of I in Urbana Champagne. He then moved on to study at the famous Act One Studios in Chicago. Currently Jeff is in works to write, produce, and star in his own web broadcasted sitcom "A Thousand Words" which is already leading to bigger things. Sam - MIKE PUSATERI Mike Pusateri is thrilled be cast in the role of Sam in the film “Distortion.” Mike began his journey into the world of acting at the Piven Theatre Workshop and has had the honor of studying directly under Joyce Piven. Earlier this year, Mike had a key role in the feature film “Holiday Baggage” starring Cheryl Ladd and Barry Bostwick. During the time of the film shoot, he also appeared on stage in the role of Hugh Fullerton in “The Black Sox Scandal of 1919” at the Sheil Park Theatre in Chicago. Over the past couple of years, he has been seen around town at Around the Coyote and the Piven Theatre. Last summer, he appeared in the film “Petersburg” produced by Split Pillow Productions. Mike does voiceover work and has been heard on Chicago area radio and national cable television commercials (www.mikepusateri.com). Mike would like to thank his wife Pam, and his two Samoyeds, Zoya and Ramius for all of their love and support. William - SHON LANGE Shon Lange was born on the South Side of Chicago. A former basketball player he served in the United States Air Force Special Forces for four years where he received the Expert Marksman award. Pursuing his love of acting he is honing his skills in both acting and improve classes at The Second City in Chicago. He has already played an ex-assassin in the film “Trance De Muerte”, an ex-boxer turned mob hit man for the film “Animal”, and a sheriff in “Endangered”. After “Distortion” Shon is moving to LA where he is in talks to be Captain America. Carter - ALAN J. CAMPBELL BIO COMING SOON
Samantha - JENNIFER DYMIT BIO COMING SOON Doyle - MARCO GARCIA BIO COMING SOON Stuart - JOHN CHASE BIO COMING SOON Kathleen - LAUREN SKIRVIN Lauren was last seen in the Purple Bench Productions production of 'The Big Funk' in 2007 as Fifi, in addition to playing Sarah Casey in PBP's last production of Phyllis Nagy's 'Disappeared'. She looks forward to being a part of many productions in the future and is excited to bring fresh, new, and entertaining plays to the stage through Purple Bench Productions. Writer, Producer, and Director - RICHARD DIAZ Richard has been working in independent films for over 12 years now learning every aspect of filmmaking. He majored in film at Columbia College Chicago where he graduated in 1996. He went on to write, produce, edit, and direct the action thriller 'Drop Off' (1997). His drive and passion caught the attention of cult actor Reggie Bannister, known worldwide as the lead in the popular 'Phantasm' films, who instantly signed on. Richard has also produced and edited several short films including the award winning 'Broken Echoes' and was Technical Director for two years at the successful monthly film festival Chicago Community Cinema. Working as a professional editor and video shooter for almost 8 years he has edited and shot videos for Loyola University, Ferris State University, and edited a project for the Smithsonian Institute which is part of their Triceratops exhibit in Washington DC. Richard has also written several full-length screenplays in a variety of different genres including 'Another Sunrise' and an adaptation, along with Kirk Sanders, of William Shakespeare's 'Macbeth'. He has been president of his own production company, Widescreen Films Productions, since 1996. |
